Title: Make New Friends
About: We set a "New Years Resolution" for the music room. Making new friends! We also learned some sign language! See if your student can teach you the sign language!
Words: Make new friends but keep the old
One is silver, and the other is gold
A circle is round it has no end
That’s how long I want to be your friend
Title: Lucy Lockett
About: Students sit in a circle and pass the pocket (bean bag) around the room with steady beat. One student sits in the middle with their eyes closed. Who ever has the bean bag at the end gets to sing the solo (I have the pocket). The student in the middle with their eyes closed has to guess who's voice they heard singing!
Words: Lucy Lockett lost her pocket
Kitty Fisher found it
Not a penny was there in it
Only ribbon round it
Who has the pocket?
S1: I have the pocket!
Title: I Have a Little Snowman
About: This song taught us about pitch!
Words: I have a little snowman
He is so fat and round
I made him from a snowball
I rolled upon the ground
I gave him eyes a nose a mouth
A nice warm scarf of red
I put some buttons on his coat
A hat upon his head!
Watch him as he melts to the ground.
Music for Beat Keeping:
Title: On the Mountain
